NVIDIA's Shield TV gets another update after 10 years
NVIDIA just dropped a fresh update for its Shield TV and Shield Pro, celebrating over a decade of support—something you rarely see in tech.
The latest Shield Experience Upgrade 9.2.2, released November 13, brings accessibility boosts and bug fixes.
While brands like Google and Samsung only recently started offering seven years of updates, NVIDIA's still going strong after 10.
Accessibility features and bug fixes
This version adds features for users with disabilities—like controller pairing alerts, Bounce Keys, Key Repeat options, and more flexible accessibility timeouts.
TalkBack text-to-speech now works in 23 European languages.
Plus, there are fixes for night mode glitches, Dolby Vision playback issues, DAC audio matching problems, Plex playback bugs, and third-party remote hiccups.
How to install the latest update on your Shield TV
The 9.2.2 update is ready for all Shield TV and Pro models—just head to Settings > About Shield > System updates to grab it.
It's another reminder that NVIDIA is serious about keeping your device up-to-date for the long haul!
