    What's the story

OPPO Find X, with its unprecedented screen-to-body ratio of 93.8% and motorized cameras, took the world by surprise soon after its unveiling in Paris last month.

And now, the phone is excepted to be launched in India, considering the fact that OPPO has sent out official invites for a launch event scheduled for July 12.

Here's everything you should know about OPPO's motorized marvel, the Find X.

    Information

Why we expect OPPO to launch Find X in India?

Currently, OPPO doesn't have any other phone to launch. And considering Find X was launched last month in Paris and that India is a key market for the Chinese smartphone maker, it's a logical deduction that the OPPO flagship is coming to India.

    Design & Display

OPPO Find X: At a glance

The OPPO Find X ditches the notch to offer an all-screen display with curved side edges and a small chin.

The key design highlight of the phone is its motorized slider which encases the front and rear camera along with a bunch of sensors.

The OPPO flagship features a 6.42-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

    Details

    About the innovative slider

In a bid to offer an all-screen phone, OPPO innovated with a motorized slider which holds the front and rear camera (to have a unified design), and 3D facial scanning sensors as there is no fingerprint scanner on the phone.

The slider, tested over 300,000 times, opens and closes automatically when you open/close the camera app or turn the phone on for unlocking.

    Camera

For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers

Find X gets a dual rear camera setup which comprises a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture, OIS, and LED flash, paired with a 20-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture.

The primary camera comes with AI portraits and AI Scene Recognition technology.

On the front, there's a 25-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. The front camera also supports 3D lighting for AI-powered portraits.

    Storage, Battery

    Under the hood

OPPO Find X is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB inbuilt storage (non-expandable).

The phone supports dual-SIM Nano cards, runs Android Oreo 8.1-based ColorOS 5.1 and packs a 3,730mAh battery with VOOC Flash Charging technology.

Connectivity options on the phone include USB Type-C port, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11a/c, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, and GPS.

    Coming soon

OPPO Find X: Pricing and Availability

While it is quite certain that Find X will be unveiled in India on July 12, there are no details about its pricing and availability.

However, one can expect the phone to enter the premium price segment considering its high-tech gadgetry and top-end specs.

Globally, Find X was announced at EUR 999.
