  • OPPO is all set to launch the Reno Ace smartphone in China on October 10.

    And now, just days ahead of its formal launch, Shen Yiren, the Vice President of OPPO, has revealed the key specifications of the upcoming flagship.

    Reportedly, the phone will come with a 90Hz display, 48MP quad rear cameras, and top-tier internals.

  • So far, several leaks have revealed that the Reno Ace will sport an edge-to-edge look with a waterdrop notched design.

    On the rear, the glass panel with gradient design will house vertically aligned quad camera module.

    Also, it will sport a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with a full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and 135Hz sampling rate.

  • The quad rear camera unit on the Reno Ace will comprise a 48MP (f/1.7) primary sensor, 13MP (f/2.4) telephoto lens, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2MP monochrome lens. For the selfie lovers, it will house a 16MP (f/2.0) front-facing snapper.

  • The OPPO Reno Ace will be powered by a Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, paired with upto 12GB RAM, 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage, and a solid 4,000mAh battery.

    Contrary to the previous statements which hinted that the phone would support 65W fast-charging, Yiren revealed that the handset will support 18W Quick Charge and 20W VOOC Flash Charge technology.

  • As for connectivity options, the Reno Ace should come with support for dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, VoLTE, Type-C port, and headphone jack. It is likely to run on Android Pie-based ColorOS 6.1 and house dual stereo speakers as well.

  • Further, Yiren has confirmed that OPPO has partnered with Japanese science fiction media franchise Gundam to introduce a special edition of the phone.

    Likely to be called as 'Reno Ace Gundam Edition', it will come with the same specifications and camera setup as the standard model but will get a custom design and user interface.

    Also, the special model will house dual Wi-Fi antennae.

  • There is no information about the pricing of OPPO Reno Ace as of now. However, going by the specifications, it is likely to cost somewhere around CNY 3,000 (approximately Rs. 30,000). But, the official details will be revealed on October 10.
