Qualcomm debuts Snapdragon Reality Elite at Augmented World Expo 2026
Qualcomm just dropped its latest chip, the Snapdragon Reality Elite, at Augmented World Expo 2026.
It's built for extended reality (XR) devices and packs some serious upgrades: think 60% better graphics, 30% faster processing, and a huge leap in AI power compared to the last model.
Reality Elite powers XREAL Project Aura
Snapdragon Reality Elite lets XR headsets show off photorealistic avatars and real-time 3D content at super sharp 4.4K per eye and smooth 90 frames per second.
It also means longer battery life (up to 20% more), cooler operation, and less lag when mixing digital with real-world views.
The chip will power XREAL's upcoming Project Aura headset.
Qualcomm launches Snapdragon START program
Alongside the chip, Qualcomm announced its Snapdragon START program to help companies make smart glasses faster.
The program offers ready-made hardware and software tools so brands can get their own AI-powered wearables out quickly (no need to start from scratch).
