    Samsung launches Galaxy M31 smartphone at Rs. 16,000

    As an upgrade to the Galaxy M30s and Galaxy M30 models, Samsung has launched the Galaxy M31 in India today. The new smartphone comes at a starting price of Rs. 15,999, and will be up for grabs starting 12pm on March 5. The mid-range handset offers an AMOLED screen, a mighty 64MP quad camera, and a humongous 6,000mAh battery. Here's our roundup.

    A look at the Samsung Galaxy M31

    The Samsung Galaxy M31 comes with an Infinity U-styled notched design and a noticeable bezel at the bottom. On the rear, the polycarbonate panel houses a quad camera module and a physical fingerprint scanner. The smartphone houses a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with a full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) resolution. Moreover, it will be offered in Ocean Blue and Space Black color options.

    For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers

    The quad rear camera setup on the Samsung Galaxy M31 comprises a 64MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, an 8 MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide angle sensor with 123-degree field-of-view, and a couple of 5MP sensors for depth sensing and macro photography. For the selfie lovers, the mid-range handset offers a respectable 32MP (f/2.0) front-facing snapper.

    Under the hood

    The Galaxy M31 draws power from an Exynos 9611 processor, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of expandable storage. The handset runs on Android 10-based One UI 2.0 and packs a massive 6,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging. Moreover, it comes with support for latest connectivity options including dual-SIMs (Nano), VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, Type-C port, and a headphone jack.

    The Samsung Galaxy M31 is priced at Rs. 15,999 for 64GB storage variant, while the 128GB storage model costs Rs. 16,999. The handset will be available at a special introductory discount of Rs. 1,000, and will be up for grabs at Rs. 14,999. Lastly, it will go on sale starting 12pm on March 5 via Amazon, Samsung e-store, and leading brick-and-mortar stores.
