Singaporean designer turns Nike sneakers into playable SNES console
Ever wished your sneakers could play games?
Singaporean designer Gustavo Bonzanini just made it happen by turning a pair of Nike Air Max 90s into a fully working Super Nintendo (SNES) console.
The custom kicks mark the SNES's 35th anniversary and bring together retro gaming vibes with streetwear style—think Super Mario World and The Legend of Zelda, but on your feet.
How it works & why it's special
Bonzanini hid a Raspberry Pi Zero W running RetroPie in the shoe tongue, letting you game for about 30 minutes per charge.
You can hook the shoes up to a TV with classic RCA cables for that old-school feel, and use an original SNES controller upgraded for Bluetooth.
Painted in iconic SNES gray and purple, these one-of-a-kind sneakers aren't hitting stores—they're just a creative tribute to gaming history.
