SpaceX hits 160 Falcon 9 launches, pushes Starlink even further
SpaceX just pulled off its 160th Falcon 9 launch of the year, sending up 27 more Starlink satellites from California early Wednesday morning.
This flight also marked another milestone for the company, achieving over 100 missions in a single year.
Booster lands (again), showing off serious rocket reuse
The Falcon 9's first stage booster—B1082—nailed its landing on the "Of Course I Still Love You" droneship after its 18th trip to space.
This same booster has already helped out with other big missions and a bunch of previous Starlink launches.
Starlink crosses 9,000 satellites and counting
With this batch, there are now over 9,000 active Starlink satellites in orbit. More than a third went up just this year!
The network is all about bringing internet to places that usually get left out—and even lets some airlines and mobile carriers connect straight through space.
