Telegram's latest update: Passkeys, audio stories, and gift offers

Technology

Telegram just dropped a fresh update packed with features.
The standout is passkeys—now you can log in using Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint, or PIN instead of waiting for SMS codes.
It's all tucked away under Settings > Privacy and Security.

Gift your friends (and customize your stories)

You can now make an offer to buy the gift using Telegram Stars or TON, set your own price and time limit, and if the offer gets declined, you get your money back.
Plus, Stories just got more fun—you can add audio from your profile playlist or Saved Music to your Stories via the Sticker menu's Audio option.

Passkeys: More secure (and less hassle)

Passkeys use cryptographic keys tied to your device and sync through iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager.
So even if someone knows your password, they still need your actual device to log in.
This move keeps Telegram in step with security standards set by major tech platforms over the last few years.
