Bengaluru-based security expert Uddeshya Kumar recently used Claude to handle his tax return and found it surprisingly helpful.
The app read his Form 16, matched numbers with official statements, fixed errors—even sorted out issues from switching jobs midyear.
Kumar said it felt "like a CA sitting next to me," but made sure every step was supervised.
Privacy concerns around AI tax tools
While AI makes things smoother, some folks are uneasy about sharing sensitive financial information with these platforms, worried their data could be misused or used for training.
Kumar insisted he kept control by running everything in his browser.
