The UK and Ukraine are joining forces to turn battlefield data into smart AI systems that help guard important places like defense sites, railways, and power plants.

Three UK firms use military data
Three UK tech companies, Sintela, Mind Foundry, and Skyral, are leading projects powered by a cache of four years' worth of military data, including operational drone datasets, strike mission footage, and flight profiles. This gives them rare insights for training next-generation AI.
The prime minister says the partnership is key for national security and protecting critical infrastructure.
While some worry about sharing sensitive information with private firms, Steven Murdoch says, "Anything to do with drones, for example." and Wes Streeting says, "By combining the UK's world-leading scientists, engineers and tech companies with Ukraine's unique battlefield experience and data, we will strengthen both of our nations' defense and security."
