    Vivo S1 to launch in India on August 7

    Vivo is all set to a new phone in India on August 7. The Chinese tech giant has started sending media invites, confirming that the company is set to bring an S series model in the country.

    Meanwhile, thanks to several teasers and reports, we know that the upcoming smartphone is indeed the Vivo S1.

    Here's everything to know.

    Design and display

    At a glance

    The Vivo S1, which was launched in China some weeks back, features an all-screen design. However, the company is not bringing that model in India.

    The international variant would sport a waterdrop notched design, in-screen fingerprint sensor, triple rear cameras, and a 3D gradient design on the rear.

    It also offers a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED screen with full-HD+ resolution.

    Cameras

    For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers

    The upcoming Vivo S1 bears a triple lens rear camera setup comprising a 16MP main sensor, 8MP wide-angle sensor, and a 5MP depth sensor. Up front, it offers a 32MP selfie snapper.

    Moreover, the main camera supports 4K video recording at 30fps while the selfie camera is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps.

    Under the hood

    The Vivo S1 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P65 processor and is expected to come with upto 6GB RAM and upto 128GB of storage.

    Under the hood, it runs on Android Pie-based Funtouch OS 9 and packs a 4,500mAh battery.

    Moreover, it offers all the standard sensors and connectivity options including support for dual-SIMs (nano), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro-USB port, and headphone jack.

    Pricing and Availability

    According to 91Mobiles, the Vivo S1 will go on sale in India starting August 15. The report claims that the phone will cost Rs. 17,990 for the base-end 6GB/64GB model and that the top-end 6GB/128GB variant will be priced under Rs. 20,000.
