Ahead of launch, Vivo Y72 5G's design and specifications leaked
Vivo will launch the Y72 5G smartphone in Thailand on March 22. In the latest development, a Thai blog MX Phone has previewed the handset as well as its box contents, giving away everything there is to know about the phone. As per the leak, the Y72 5G will come with a waterdrop notch design, triple rear cameras, and a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset.
It will feature a Full-HD+ LCD display
The Vivo Y72 5G will sport a waterdrop-like cut-out for the selfie camera, a prominent bottom bezel, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it will offer a triple camera module. The handset will bear a 6.58-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2408 pixels) IPS LCD screen with a pixel density of 440ppi. It will be offered in Dream Glow and Graphite Black color options.
The phone will sport a 64MP main camera
The Vivo Y72 5G will pack a triple rear camera setup comprising a 64MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP (f/2.4) macro sensor. On the front, it will offer a 16MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper.
It will draw power from a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor
The Vivo Y72 5G will be fueled by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It will run on Android 11-based Funtouch OS 11.1 and pack a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. In terms of connectivity, the device will offer support for dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, 5G, a headphone jack, and a Type-C port.
Vivo Y72 5G: Pricing and availability
The official pricing details of the Vivo Y72 5G will be announced at the time of the launch, which will take place on March 22. However, considering the leaked specifications, the handset is likely to cost around Rs. 15,000.
