WhatsApp for Android brings 'high priority notifications' feature

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that will allow you to manage push notifications better. The Facebook-owned messaging app recently updated its beta app to bring 'high priority notifications' feature. This new feature will let you to pin all your notifications on top of the notification centre so that you don't miss anything important. Here's more about this update.

Pin notifications
WhatsApp gives more control to users over their notifications

This new 'high priority notification' feature essentially works like pinning your chats or tweets, for instance. The feature will let you pin your new WhatsApp notifications, whether from a group or private chat, on the top of your phone's notification centre and prevents you to not miss any important message. It can be enabled/disabled under 'Notifications' setting.

Information
This feature is available on WhatsApp beta version 2.18.117

This feature is available on WhatsApp beta version 2.18.117 and will be supported on devices running on Android 5.0 or higher. Notably, if there is more than one app that supports 'high priority notifications' feature, the notifications will be shown in chronological order.
