Yueban unveils Xiaoban, autonomous toilet for people with mobility challenges
Say hello to Xiaoban, a smart, self-driving toilet from Chinese company Yueban.
Unveiled at a Shanghai expo and priced at ¥28,999 (about $4,300), it's designed for people with mobility challenges.
Instead of users struggling to reach the bathroom, Xiaoban rolls right up to them, making daily life a bit easier and more independent.
Xiaoban navigates, self-cleans, docks for waste
Xiaoban uses lidar and ultrasonic sensors to safely navigate homes or care facilities, dodging obstacles and stairs along the way.
It's packed with handy extras like a bidet, warm-air drying, a self-cleaning bowl and an enclosed receptacle, and ultraviolet lights used to kill bacteria.
After use, it heads back to its dock for waste disposal or can transfer waste if plumbing isn't available, helping caregivers by cutting out bathroom trips and automating cleanup.
