Real Madrid defeat Dortmund as Ronaldo scores twice
Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice for Real Madrid, in his 400th appearance for the club, to win 3-1 against Borussia Dortmund in Group H match of 2017-18 Champions League. Gareth Bale struck the first goal for Madrid as the 12-time champions continue to hold the top spot in the group. Pierre Emerick Aubameyang scored the only goal for Dortmund.
Tottenham win as Harry Kane scores hat-trick
Tottenham Hotspur defeated APOEL FC 3-0 as Harry Kane scored another hat-trick in Nicosia. Kane scored in 39th, 62nd and 67th minutes to notch his sixth hat-trick of the year, well ahead of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, who have two hat-tricks each to their names. Spurs stand on second place behind Real Madrid in Group H, though both teams have six points.
Manchester City win at home
Manchester City recorded a 2-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk, with Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling scoring a goal each in the 48th and 90th minute, to win their second match of the 2107-18 Champions League. They sit on top of the Group E.
Sevilla win, Liverpool held for a draw in away matches
It was a triple delight for Ben Yedder as he scored three goals for Sevilla to give a 3-0 win over Maribor. The French striker also became the first player in Sevilla's history to score a hat-trick in Champions League. In another Group E match, Liverpool were held for a 1-1 draw by Spartak Moscow, to record their second draw of the season.
Porto stun French champions Monaco
Portuguese club Porto pulled a 3-0 stunner against France's Ligue 1 champions Monaco with Vincent Aboubakar scoring twice in the 31st and 69th minute in a Group G match. Miguel Layun scored the third goal in the 89th minute.
