    Saina first Indian to win two CWG singles gold medals

    In 2018, Saina pocketed the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games.

    The victory against PV Sindhu saw Saina becoming the first Indian shuttler to win two single gold medals at CWG.

    She had won her first gold meal in CWG 2010 in New Delhi.

    In total, Saina has won five CWG medals.

    She has won gold, silver and bronze in the mixed team event.

    At the 2018 Asian Games, Saina made history by winning the first medal for India by a woman.

    She went on to lose the semi-final tie against Tai Tzu Ying but the bronze medal was enough to hand her the feat.

    Saina has a special badminton feat. She has won medals at the Olympics, World Championships, Commonwealth Games, Asian Championships and the Asian Games.

    Saina is the first Indian badminton star to bring home an Olympic medal.

    She won the bronze medal in 2012 Olympics after China's Wang Xin retired from the match.
