    What's the story

Defending champions Mumbai Indians are showing signs of life after claiming a crucial 8 wicket victory against Chennai Super Kings in Pune.

    Batting first, CSK posted 169/5 courtesy of Rayudu's 46 and Raina's 75*.

In response, Mumbai chased down the target with 2 balls to spare.

Rohit Sharma (56*) was the star for Mumbai.

Here are the records that were broken in this fixture.

    Captain cool

150 up for Captain MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni captained his 150th IPL match today.

No other cricketer has achieved this feat.

Dhoni has won 88 of his matches while he has lost 61 and one has ended up as no result.

He boasts a commendable win rate of 59.06%.

This is the highest win-rate compared to anyone who has captained a side in at least 30 IPL games.

    Information

Jadeja now has 7 catches this season

Ravindra Jadeja has now taken 7 catches in this season. He sits on the top of the table along with Kings XI Punjab's Karun Nair.

    Contrasting fortunes

    Mumbai's 2nd win is Chennai's 2nd loss

While this was the second win for Mumbai, this turned out to be the second loss for the Chennai Super Kings in 2018.

The crucial win takes Mumbai Indians off the bottom of the IPL table and keeps their hopes of qualifying for the playoffs alive.

This is the second time MI's top three have all scored 40 plus runs in a game.
