Hardik Pandya reveals comeback date following back surgery
Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been out of action ever since the conclusion of the T20I series against South Africa in September, as he underwent back surgery. Following the successful surgery, everyone has been wondering when he could make a comeback to the national side. Upon being questioned on the same, Pandya has revealed that he is being patient and not rushing in.
Pandya not looking to rush his comeback
Speaking on his comeback, Pandya reminded that he won't rush as long as his body is not 100% fit again, as it could lead to another breakdown. "So, that is the thing why people call for patience. Injuries are not easy, but being patient is important. I have seen Pat Cummins coming back from injury, being stronger than before," he quoted to IANS.

"I have seen cricketers come back from injuries and surgeries, and I have spoken to them and learned that patience is very important. After a knife touches your body, it becomes fragile. So, you have to give 200 percent while making the return," added Pandya.
Pandya eyes World T20 title win
Speaking further, Pandya asserted that he was desperately looking to be on the flight to Australia to play in the ICC World T20 2020, besides admitting that he wants to win the title. "Have come close to it many times -- the Champions Trophy in 2017 and sadly missed the 2019 World Cup. I wish to help the team get the trophy," he concluded.
Pandya would eye a fine outing during the IPL
While Pandya's possible return date is still unsure, he is most certainly to play in the IPL next year for Mumbai Indians (MI). Furthermore, with an eye on World T20, he would be looking to do well in the tournament to seal his ticket to Australia. So far, he has scored 1,068 runs in 61 IPL innings, along with 42 wickets in 60 innings.
Pandya has had an average T20 career
However, it is to be noted that Pandya's T20 career has been an average one. So far, in 135 T20s, he has managed to score 2,146 runs at an average of 27.87, including seven half-centuries and a top score of 91. As for his bowling, he has claimed 106 wickets with an economy of 8.20, including a four-wicket haul.
