India beat Australia in third T20I: Here're the records broken

Team India tasted success for the first time in the 2018-19 tour of Australia. The visitors went on to win the third T20I and level the three-match series 1-1. The two teams will share the trophy after the second T20I was abandoned due to rain. Australia had posted 164/6. In reply, India managed to get past the target, courtesy Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli.

Dhawan ends year with the most runs in T20Is

Indian openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma were terrific upfront as they added 67 runs for the first wicket. Dhawan scored 41 runs off just 22 deliveries. He hit six fours and two sixes. Dhawan ended his T20I stint this year as the top run-scorer. He amassed 689 runs in 18 T20Is at an average of 40.52.

Pandya first spinner to take 4 wickets on Australian soil

Krunal Pandya was star of the show for India with the ball. The all-rounder became the first spinner to take four wickets in a T20I match played in Australia. His 4/36 is the best spell by a spinner. Earlier, Pandya had recorded the worst figures by a spinner in Australia (0/55) in the first T20I. His spell today is his best T20I performance.

    Rohit second highest T20I run-scorer in 2018

Rohit became the second highest T20I runs scorer in 2018 (590). The batsman, who scored a 16-ball 23, went past Pakistan's Zaman (576). Rohit, who hit two sixes, has 98 maximums in T20Is. He is now 5 away from equalling leading six-hitters Chris Gayle and Martin Guptill (103). Rohit also hit 31 sixes in 2018. It's the joint second highest this year.

Finch, Kuldeep end 2018 T20I campaign on a high

Aussie batsmen D'Arcy Short and Glenn Maxwell joined skipper Aaron Finch in crossing 500+ runs in T20Is this year. Finch ended his T20I campaign this year as the 5th highest runs scorer (531). Short (515) and Maxi (505) follow suit on 6th and 7th positions. Kuldeep Yadav (1/19) finished with 21 T20I wickets in 2018, the fifth most number of T20I wickets this year.

    India register 14th T20I victory of 2018

In 19 T20Is played between the two nations, India have managed to clinch 11 victories to Australia's 6. In 19 T20Is this year, Aussies have won 10 and lost 8. India have won 14 out of the 19 T20Is in 2018. Aussie pacer Andrew Tye has picked 31 T20I wickets in 2018. He ends the year as the leading wicket-taker in T20Is.

Pant first Indian keeper to be out for golden duck

Adam Zampa was the only bowler with a maiden over in this match. Pant became the first Indian keeper to be dismissed for a golden duck in T20Is. It was his maiden duck in T20Is. Virat Kohli scored his maiden T20I fifty of 2018.
