Former legend Brian Lara has slammed the most runs for West Indies in the World Cup (1,225). He hit two hundreds and seven fifties.

    Top wicket-takers from India and WI in World Cups

    For India, Zaheer Khan and Javagal Srinath share the record for the most wickets in the World Cup across editions (44). They had a bowling average of 20.22 and 27.81 respectively. Courtney Walsh picked up the most wickets for WI in the World Cup (27). He bowled at an excellent economy-rate of 3.46 and an average of 20.25.

    Old Trafford: A look at ground stats

    Graham Gooch has the most runs at Old Trafford in Manchester (405). Vivian Richards (189* versus England in 1984) has the best individual score. England (397/6 versus Afghanistan in CWC 19) have the highest total recorded here. Canada (45 versus England in 1979) have recorded the lowest ODI score. Bob Willis (15 wickets) has the tally for the most scalps here.

    According to reports, despite the weather being cloudy and overcast at the moment, Thursday will witness a dry and sunny day. The spinners will come into play as the day progresses.
