India's 2018-19 season to have 63 international matches

India have started 2018 in style by 5-1 thrashing of South Africa in the ODI series. India also dethroned South Africa from the number one ODI ranking. And now with eyes on the World Cup, India will play 30 ODIs in 2018-2019 season. India will also play 12 Test matches and 23 T20Is in the season. Here's more about India's schedule.

India 2017-2018 season to end with Tri-Nation T20 tournament

After the T20Is against South Africa, India will play the Nidahas Tri-Nation T20 tournament in Sri Lanka which also involves Bangladesh. This will bring an end to India's ongoing 2017-2018 season. They would then head into the much awaited Indian Premier league.

India to kick off season with IPL 11

India's 2018-2019 cricket season kicks off with IPL. Post that, the first bilateral series will be two matches against Ireland, in the last week of June 2018. India will also host Afghanistan to welcome them to Test cricket. The match is scheduled from June 14 to 18. England tour will begin in July, where India will play 3 ODIs, 3 T20Is & 5 Tests.

India to host West Indies in October

India's short home season will begin with West Indies playing 2 Tests, 5 ODIs and 3 T20Is during the month of October and November. Before West Indies' arrival in India, Asia Cup will be played but the dates and venue of the tournament are yet to be finalised. The tournament will have about 9 ODIs.

Economics first

BCCI not to play Tests in New Zealand

India will then fly to Australia to play four Tests, three T20Is and three ODIs in November and December. The BCCI has also taken the decision of not playing Test cricket in New Zealand since the timing is not commercially viable for the board. India will play the Kiwis in 5 ODIs and 5 T20Is from mid-January to mid-February.

In February, India will host Steven Smith's Australia for five ODIs and two T20Is before drawing the curtains on the 2018-2019 with visiting Zimbabwe. They will play a 3 match T20I series.
