    IPL: Amla leads Punjab to victory against RCB

    Kings XI Punjab opening batsman Hashim Amla scored 58 off 38 balls to lead his team to victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2017 Indian Premier League. Punjab chased a target of 149 runs in just 14.3 overs to win the match by eight wickets. Skipper Glenn Maxwell remained unbeaten on 43 runs as he hit four sixes in his innings.

    Punjab, Bangalore look for their second win

    After registering wins in their respective previous games, Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers face each other at Holkar Stadium in Indore. RCB will be welcoming back one of their star players AB de Villiers after he missed the first couple of games. KXIP showed an all-round performance in their first game, with both batting and bowling departments contributing to the win.

    In the last nine seasons of the Indian Premier League, KXIP and RCB have faced each other 18 times. Punjab have dominated in the past and have won 10 matches, while RCB have 8 wins to their name.

    de Villiers smashes half-century to stabilize RCB

    AB de Villiers smashed 89 off 46 balls to rescue RCB after they lost three quick wickets. RCB posted 148 runs on the board after losing four wickets. Opting to bat first, RCB lost Shane Watson, Vishnu Vinod and Kedar Jadhav for just 22 runs. de Villiers scored his 25th 50+ plus score in IPL. He smashed 9 sixes and 3 fours.

    50 T20 wickets for Varun Aaron

    Jharkhand bowler Varun Aaron reached a milestone of 50 T20 wickets as he picked two wickets for KXIP in this match. He now has 50 wickets in 52 innings, having played for Delhi Daredevils, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders.
