    Kolkata Knight Riders picked young fast bowler Shivam Mavi in the IPL 2022 Auction on Saturday.

    The Kolkata-based franchise managed to get him back for Rs. 7.25 crore.

    They were involved in an intense bidding war with Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants, and Delhi Capitals.

    Mavi made his IPL debut in 2018 for KKR.

    Mavi has 25 wickets in the IPL

    Mavi played his debut match against Sunrsiers Hyderabad in the 2018 season.

    He grabbed eyeballs for his ability to clock over 140 KPH consistently.

    As of now, Mavi has picked up 25 wickets from 26 matches at an average of 28.6.

    He has the best match haul of 4/21.

    Mavi is also a handy lower-order batter across formats.

    Mavi won the 2018 Under-19 WC with India

    Mavi was a vital part of India's Under-19 World Cup title-winning side in 2018. Mavi picked nine wickets in the tournament. Prithvi Shaw-led India defeated Australia in the final to win the Under-19 World Cup in that year.
