The Indian Premier league (IPL) auction for 2019 edition came to an end after an enthralling event in Jaipur on Tuesday. 70 slots were available across 8 teams and 60 got filled. Defending champions Chennai Super Kings had a rather quiet day. They had just two slots available and they filled up both. Going by the depth of the side, CSK are miles ahead.
CSK spend the bucks on former player Mohit Sharma
CSK signed former player Mohit Sharma for a whopping sum of Rs. 5 crore. Further, they also acquired batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad for Rs. 20 lakh. They, once again, look like title contenders under skipper MS Dhoni.
Why are CSK better than the rest?
CSK had a sound IPL trade window and they released just three players. The trust shown in the rest of the squad spoke volumes. The squad is rich and has all the ingredients of repeating last season's success. CSK showed last season that experience is key and this time too the crux of the side remains the same.

CSK favorites to win IPL 2019
CSK are expected to win the IPL 2019 edition. Only Sunrisers Hyderabad look like a squad as settled and composed like CSK. Delhi Capitals look strong as well. The rest of the teams have bought several new faces and getting them to click is a sheer task. Dhoni has been a serial winner and he knows what to do best.
