    Youngest buys of 2019 IPL Auction

    The Indian Premier league (IPL) auction for 2019 edition came to an end after an enthralling event in Jaipur on Tuesday. Last season's costliest Indian, Jaydev Unadkat, became the joint-most expensive buy this time around, along with Varun Chakravarthy. 70 slots were available across 8 teams and 60 got filled. Many youngsters were drafted in by teams. Here we look at the youngest buys.

    Prayas Ray Barman- RCB

    At 16 years and 55 days, Prayas Ray Barman, who hails form Bengal, became the youngest player to be bought in the auction. The bowling all-rounder was fetched by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs. 1.5 crore. He bowls decent leg-spin and is handful with the bat as well. In 9 List A matches, he has picked 11 wickets.

    Prabh Simran Singh- KXIP

    At 18 years and 131 days, wicket-keeper Prabh Simran Singh, became one of the sensational purchases on Tuesday. He had a base price of Rs. 20 lakh, but was bought by Kings XI Punjab for Rs. 4.80 crore. The Punjab batsman was part of the Indian side that finished second in the recent ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Sri Lanka.

    KXIP rope in these three young names

    At 20 years and 76 days, Vidarbha medium-pacer Darshan Nalkande was fetched by KXIP. In three List A matches, Darshan has 8 wickets. He has been part of Vidarbha's Ranji Trophy team. KXIP bought 23-year-old Harpreet Brar, who is yet to play competitive cricket. At 23 years and 187 days, Agnivesh Ayachi was another surprising buy. KXIP spent Rs. 20 lakh on these two.

    These 4 WI youngsters became instant hits

    West Indian youngsters were a hit in the IPL 2019 Auction. At 21 years and 304 days, Oshane Thomas was picked by Rajasthan Royals. 23-year-old Nicholas Pooran was roped in by KXIP for a staggering Rs. 4.2 crores. Delhi Capitals bought 20-year-old Keemo Paul. Another 20-year-old Sherfane Rutherford joined DC for Rs. 2 crore.

    Other rising talents that found takers

    Other rising talents that found takers were, Prithvi Raj (Kolkata Knight Riders), Rasikh Salam (Mumbai Indians) and Shubham Ranjane (Rajasthan Royals). Talent scouts of IPL teams played a major role in getting these players in the auction.
