Given this challenge, Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) officials are in talks with state Sports Minister Aroop Biswas. According to sources, Biswas has assured support and will discuss solutions with Kolkata Police. However, changing the match venue or rescheduling it could be complicated, considering the excitement around the KKR vs LSG fixture.

The importance of this game has grown owing to Lucknow's ownership connection with Kolkata industrialist Sanjiv Goenka. Meanwhile, the addition of star player Rishabh Pant has made this fixture even more intriguing.
