Indian batting talismans Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli shattered a series of records en route to their 19th century partnership in ODIs. The milestone was achieved during the third ODI against Australia in Sydney on Saturday. Rohit scored an unbeaten 121 while Kohli remained not out on 74, stitching a mammoth 168-run partnership for the second wicket as India comfortably accomplished the 237-run target. Rohit & Kohli - 5,483 runs
The Rohit-Kohli pair has now raced to 5,483 runs together in ODIs, making them third on this list. As per ESPNcricinfo, their partnership average of 57.71 is the best among pairs with at least 4,000 runs. Besides 19 century stands across 101 innings, the duo has also been involved in 17 half-century partnerships. Their tally of 12 stands of 150 or more is the joint-most for any pair.

Jayawardene & Sangakkara - 5,992 runs
At number two, we have Sri Lankan legends Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara. Having batted 151 times together in the former, the two talismans added 5,992 runs at an average of 41.61. This includes 15 century and 32 half-century stands with their best partnership being of 179 runs. Their tally also includes seven unbeaten stands.

Tendulkar & Ganguly - 8,227 runs
Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly remain the only pair with over 6,000 partnership runs in ODIs (8,227). The two former openers added 8,227 runs in 176 innings at an average of 47.55 while batting together in the format. Their tally of 26 century-stands in ODIs is also the highest for any pair. They also also recorded 29 half-century stands as their best partnership is of 258 runs.
