MS Dhoni has approved it after going through the details

We were working on it for about a year and this break gave us an opportunity to launch it. Dhoni has gone through the details and approved it. We consult him at the planning stage and finalise after he offers his suggestions," Mihir said.

Information

The academy is run by Aarka Sports Private Limited

Aarka Sports Private Limited, which manages the former Indian captain, runs the academy. Although Dhoni is not directly involved with the academy's operations, he holds a stake and provides inputs. As per Aarka Sports officials, the content of Facebook programme has been approved by Dhoni.

Improvisation

Satraijit highlights the importance of online tutorials

Chief coach of MSDCA Satrajit Lahiri explained how the players can easily improve their attributes through online tutorials. "There are aspects that can be sharpened even on terrace or any little expanse inside the house," he said. He added, "Bowlers can work on things like grip, loading, building action and action without releasing the ball. Getting these things right will make the release better."

Application

The app helps trainees to get fitness tips

MSDCA also provides an app named 'Cricketor' for the players. The trainees can use this whenever they are devoid of net practice and usual fitness drills. Reportedly, the first three videos on Facebook have garnered around 25,000 views. The trainees have been divided into groups of U-11, U-13, U-15, U-19 and U-23, while they don't have to pay any additional fee for online classes.
