Punjab Kings' IPL 2026 jersey: Check out their new threads
What's the story
Punjab Kings (PBKS) have unveiled their new jersey for the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. The franchise, which was captained by India's ODI vice-captain Shreyas Iyer and coached by legendary Australian cricketer Ricky Ponting, finished as runners-up in the IPL 2025 final against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The new design retains PBKS's iconic red and blue colors but adds a unique pattern with a lion motif at its center.

Meaning behind the new PBKS jersey
The new PBKS jersey features a lion motif at the center, which transitions into diamond-shaped elements across the fabric. The franchise explained that the lion represents instinct, aggression and raw talent, while the diamonds symbolize what that talent becomes when shaped through preparation, high-performance systems and the pressures of top-level competition. This design is a reflection of the team's journey and philosophy of nurturing talent.
