IPL 2019: DC beat RCB, here are the records broken

Delhi Capitals beat Royal Challengers Bangalore in match number 20 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 season. This was RCB's sixth successive loss in IPL 2019 and they are yet to register a single victory. Meanwhile, DC notched their third win. RCB managed only 149/8 at home. DC chased down the target with Shreyas Iyer (67) leading the way. Here's more.

Kohli has the most runs against Delhi in IPL history

Virat Kohli (41) smashed one four and two sixes. He now has 182 IPL sixes and needs five more to surpass Rohit Sharma (186). The 30-year-old became the fourth player to get past 200 runs in IPL 2019 (203). Kohli has scored the most runs against Delhi in IPL (802). Suresh Raina has the most runs against an opposition (803 versus Mumbai Indians).

Dhawan registers sixth IPL duck, Rabada lights up Bengaluru

Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed for a first-ball nought. He now has six ducks in IPL and equalled a host of players including Kohli. Kagiso Rabada (4/21) notched his best figures in IPL. He now has 11 wickets this season and is the current holder of the Purple Cap. Axar Patel (1/22) went past Muttiah Muralitharan (63) in terms of IPL wickets (64).

Iyer notches 11th career IPL fifty

Iyer notched his maiden IPL fifty this season. It was also his 11th career fifty in the IPL. Iyer went past Glenn Maxwell and Brad Hodge in terms of career IPL runs. He also went past 200 runs in IPL 12 (215).

How did the match pan out?

RCB started off poorly and DC controlled the proceedings after sending back Parthiv Patel and AB de Villiers early. Moeen Ali produced a brisk 32-run cameo to take the side to 103/4 in the 15th over. Kohli batted on and after his dismissal, RCB collapsed. In reply, DC lost Dhawan in the first over. Prithvi Shaw batted aggressively, before Iyer gained control.
