The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a major reshuffle in the leadership of its national men's teams. Young cricketer Saif Hassan has been appointed as the vice-captain for the T20I side. The decision comes after his consistent and impressive performances in this format for Bangladesh. Litton Kumer Das will lead the team until the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, BCB confirmed in a statement.

Leadership roles in Test and ODI formats
The BCB also announced Mehidy Hasan Miraz as the vice-captain of the Bangladesh Test team. He will serve under Najmul Hossain Shanto, who will continue to lead until the end of the current ICC Test Championship cycle. In ODI cricket, Shanto will be vice-captain under Miraz's captaincy. Miraz was appointed as the ODI captain for a one-year term in June this year.
Committee changes
BCB announces new committee appointments
The BCB has also announced new committee appointments. Rubaba Daula will take over as the Chairperson of the Women's Wing, replacing Abdur Razzak Raz who will now serve as Vice Chairman. Abdur Razzak will replace Khaled Mashud as chairman of High Performance while Mashud takes over as chairman of grounds, succeeding BCB President Aminul Islam.

BCB to conduct gender-sensitivity training amid harassment probe
The BCB will conduct a gender-sensitivity training session at the National Cricket Academy building in Sher e Bangla National Stadium. The move comes after former national women's team captain Jahanara Alam accused current and former BCB officials of "inappropriate physical contact" and mental abuse during the 2022 Women's World Cup. In response, BCB has formed a five-member panel led by retired Justice Tariq ul Hakim to investigate these claims.
