Indian cricketer and Rajasthan Royals captain, Sanju Samson, has broadened his professional portfolio by becoming a co-owner of Kerala Super League (KSL) club Malappuram FC. This development was announced following Malappuram FC's inaugural victory, a 2-1 triumph over Forca Kochi, at an away match held at Kochi's Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium. The inuaugral KSL season kicked off earlier this month.

Samson is now part of the Malappuram ownership group that includes VA Ajmal Bismi, Dr Anvar Ameen Chelat, and Baby Neelambra. The team, based in the Malappuram district, and holds its home games at the Payyanad Stadium, also known as the Malappuram District Sports Complex Stadium. This venue boasts a seating capacity of 30,000 spectators.
