    What's the story

Marvel's Spider-Man for PS4 garnered positive reactions and reviews from fans and critics alike.

It is unsurprising that it has become the fastest selling first-party game of Sony's PlayStation of all time.

The game managed to sell 3.3 million copies in the first three days itself.

Sony has developers, Insomniac Games, to thank for the overwhelming response.

    Read all about it here.

    Sales

Breaking more than even with excellence

Reportedly, the 3.3 million copies which were sold is a milestone for Marvel's Spider-Man.

The game has raked in a staggering $198 million considering all games were sold at the market price of $59.99. Notably, this doesn't include the collector's edition that is priced higher.

The numbers also do not include the PS4 pro bundle costing $399.99, which comes with a copy of Spider-Man.

    Do you know?

Two new records broken by Spider-Man

Marvel's Spider-Man is now the fastest selling game on PlayStation with 3.3 million copies sold. The record was earlier held by 'God of War' at 3.1 million. Furthermore, it also set the record for the highest number of pre-orders at one million before release.

    Expectations

Sony is setting the bar high

Pleased with the sales of Spider-Man, Stephen Turvey, Sony's Global Senior Vice President of Sales said that their expectations are always set at the highest levels.

Needless to say, expectations have been met and both the company and the game's fans are extremely happy.

Praise should fairly rest with developers, Insomniac Games which brought back Spider-Man with a truly phenomenal gameplay experience.
