SA got off to a flier with De Kock dealing in boundaries. After Reeza Hendrick's wicket, De Kock shared a valuable 57-run stand with Temba Bavuma (49). But the side kept its cool and got the result.
De Kock slams third career T20I fifty
This was De Kock's third T20I fifty. He smashed eight fours. The wicket-keeper batsman surpassed the 900-run mark for SA in T20Is (939). Bavuma made his T20I debut on Wednesday. He hit an impressive 49. His innings was laced with three fours and a six.
India improve their tally against SA
This was the 14th T20I match between India and South Africa. With this victory, the hosts have a 9-5 advantage in the head-to-head records. India have also played nine T20Is in 2019. They have won five and lost four. Team India sealed its fourth successive win after beating Windies 3-0 last month.

He equalled a number of bowlers including Kiwi speedster Trent Boult. Shikhar Dhawan (40) shared a 61-run stand with Virat Kohli. He needs 23 runs to get to the 1,400-run mark and be the fifth Indian to do so.
Kohli smashes a host of records
Kohli became only the second batsman to surpass 2,400 career T20I runs. The skipper hit his 22nd career T20I fifty. Kohli hit three sixes in his innings. He now has 58 career T20I sixes and equalled the tally of Suresh Raina (58). Kohli took one catch in the match. He now has 35 career T20I catches and equalled Rohit's tally.
Kohli is now the highest run-scorer in T20Is
Kohli (72*) now has the most 50-plus scores in T20Is (22). The 30-year-old is now the highest T20I run-scorer (2,440) in the world. He went past Rohit's tally of (2,434) runs.
