One of Don Bradman's several great Ashes knocks came in the third innings of the 1937 Melbourne match. The then Aussie skipper, who could only manage 13 runs in his first outing, played a memorable hand while operating a seven. He made 270 off 375 balls with the help of 22 fours as the Aussies went from 97/5 to 564/10. Bradman's marathon performance helped the hosts win by 365 runs.

Bob Cowper - 307 in Melbourne, 1966

Former Australian middle-order batter Bob Cowper tops this list as he scored a remarkable triple-century in the 1966 Ashes Test in Melbourne. His innings came after England had posted a massive total of 485/9 batting first. Batting at number four, Cower made 307 off 589 balls with the help of 20 fours. Cowper's epic knock helped Australia gain a lead in the match. The game, however, ended in a draw.
