What's the story

The world of chess has been left stunned after the FIDE 2018 World Chess Championship unveiled its logo. It looks like a 'Kama Sutra' logo, at best. The event which is scheduled to take place in London is now facing severe criticism from players, most of whom have expressed their displeasure regarding the logo. Some have even questioned if it is appropriate to promote this.

Chess battlefield turns horny

The logo sports two chequered bodies wrapped around each other with a chess board in the center and looks like a page straight out of the Sex Bible - the Kamasutra. Indian grandmaster and five-time world champion Viswanathan Anand said "I'm hoping this doesn't end up pushing us into late night TV" as quoted by ESPN.

The controversial logo was designed by Moscow based firm, Shuka Designs. Two logos were unveiled; while one shows intertwined hands moving pieces on the board, the other seem vulgar with the bodies wrapped around each other. Interestingly, Shuka Designs had also created the logo for 2016 World Chess Championship held in New York.
