Virat Kohli has been registering many records across formats since a while now. The 30-year-old Indian skipper, who has been in sublime form in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019, has crossed 20,000 international runs in total. This comprises ODIs, Tests and T20Is. Kohli achieved the feat while batting against West Indies on Thursday.

Kohli is the 12th batsman to script this record

Kohli became the 12th batsman in the history of the game to script this feat. He also became only the third Indian to get past 20k international runs. Sachin Tendulkar (34,357 runs) leads the tally for most international runs in world cricket. The list includes several GOATs including Kumar Sangakkara, Ricky Ponting, Jacques Kallis, Brian Lara and Dravid to name a few.

Kohli registers fourth successive 50-plus score

Kohli was dismissed for 72 against WI at Old Trafford in Manchester. This was his fourth successive fifty-plus score in the ongoing World Cup. The Indian captain has batted with a lot of flair. He went past former Indian legends Virender Sehwag (843) and Rahul Dravid (860) in terms of career World Cup runs (903). He is now only behind Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly.

Kohli became the second Indian batsman to surpass the 300-run mark in CWC 19 (316). Only, Rohit Sharma (338 runs) is above him. He is also the ninth overall to get past the mark. Australia's David Warner (500) leads the run-scoring chart. Kohli is now the third highest run-scorer in ODIs this year (927). This was his fifth fifty in 2019.
