Dhoni eyes two world records in his 300th ODI
Going into the 4th ODI against Sri Lanka, two records await to be broken by MS Dhoni who will be playing his 300th ODI. A minimum of one stumping in this match and the wicketkeeper-batsman will become the only person to have a century of stumpings to his name. Further an unbeaten knock here will make Dhoni the player with most not-outs in ODIs.
As it stands, after 299 ODIs, Dhoni holds the joint-record for most stumpings alongside Kumar Sangakkara, 99. He shares the most not outs record of 72 with Shaun Pollock and Chaminda Vaas.
In his 299 ODI matches, MS Dhoni has scored 9608 runs, which includes 10 centuries and 65 fifties. He stands at number fourth position in most ODI-runs record by Indians after Sachin, Ganguly and Dravid. He is also fourth most successful wicketkeeper in terms of overall dismissals. Dhoni holds the record for most runs in an innings by a wicketkeeper, 183*.
Even at 36, with his top display of wicket keeping skills and ability to calmly finish the matches, MSD is among the fittest cricketers. The naturally agile player is not big on pumping a lot of weight in gym. He likes to work on his reflexes, footwork and stamina by playing other sports like badminton and football.
MSD has the highest average (101.84) and the most unbeaten innings (40) in successful ODI run-chases.
