India vs Pakistan: We have done our research, says Mandhana

    What's the story

Indian eves are high on confidence after they thrashed New Zealand by 34 runs in the opening match of their ICC World T20 campaign.

Skipper Kaur smashed a record-breaking ton (103) to help India get off to a flier.

India now take on Pakistan in a crucial Group B encounter.

And Indian eves opener Smriti says India have done their research on Pakistan.

A look at India and Pakistan meetings in T20Is

Notably, India were defeated by Pakistan in the World T20 events in 2012 and 2016.

And now Kaur's side wants to set the record straight.

However, since the last World T20, India have beaten Pakistan multiple times, in T20I meetings.

But anything could happen in this highly-awaited encounter.

Indian opener Smriti is confident of producing a result tonight.

    Quote

'We have done research on all 15 players'

According to the ICC, Smriti said, "We have done our research on the Pakistan team, but there's no single player, we have done research on all 15 players. So the way we played against New Zealand, we'd like to put up the same show."

    Smriti

Focus on Smriti to come strong against Pakistan

Smriti has been struggling with her form since quite sometime in T20Is and that was evident against New Zealand in the opener

The Indian opening batsman was dismissed for just two off seven balls against the Kiwis.

Ahead of the big clash against Pakistan, she said that she doesn't want to put pressure on herself.

    Quote

Smriti wants to give 100% in every match

"I want to give my 100 percent in every match, that's the only aim I have. Because if I think about expectations, I won't be able to perform. So it's better for me not to put pressure on myself," said Smriti.
