Although he would have wished to hold on to it longer, he still managed to be a champion for 211 days, which was prestigious during his days. With this feat, he cemented his legacy as one of the greats.

'The Great One' had a great reign

Prior to Rob Van Dam, it was The Great One, Jeff Jarrett, who had interesting six reigns as the Intercontinental Champion. He held on to the title for a total of 290 days, while it was his opening reign which was special, as he remained the champion for 94 days. It is owing to this, he is a WWE Hall of Famer.

The Showoff's six reigns were no showoff

Sharing the record with Van Dam and Jarrett, Dolph Ziggler too made a name for himself as the Intercontinental Champion. He won it on six occasions. He is undoubtedly the better of the above two, having held on to it for a total of 368 days, while his opening reign was the best of all, as it lasted 154 days.

The A-Lister made the title relevant

One of the finest Intercontinental Champions in today's date has to the A-Lister, The Miz. Having won on eight occasions, he has the second-most number of reigns.
