US expels Baba Siddique murder accused Anmol Bishnoi
What's the story
Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and a key conspirator in the murder of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique, will be brought to India soon, as his deportation process has been completed, the Indian Express reported. The Department of Homeland Security informed Zeeshan Siddique, Baba's son, about Anmol's removal via email. The email read, "This email is to inform you ANMOL BISHNOI has been removed from the United States by the federal government."

Zeeshan received mail from US officials
Zeeshan told The Indian Express that he received an email from US officials on Tuesday about the move. "My e-mail had been registered with the US authorities since I am from the victim's family. This morning, I received an email saying that Bishnoi has been removed from the US," Zeeshan said. Anmol is wanted in India for several violent crimes, including the murder of Siddique in October 2024 and the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in May 2022.
Crime history
Anmol's deportation follows multiple violent crime allegations
He is also a suspect in the shooting incident outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's home in April 2024. The Mumbai Police Crime Branch had named Anmol as the mastermind behind Siddique's murder. They have also recovered voice clips from the arrested accused that match Anmol's, where he is heard giving instructions for the crime. In Moosewala's case, Anmol allegedly provided weapons and logistical support to the accused.
Legal proceedings
Extradition process initiated after Maharashtra court warrant
In November last year, he was arrested by US authorities on charges of illegal entry into the country. Following Anmol's arrest, India initiated the extradition process after a Maharashtra court issued a non-bailable warrant against him. Interpol also issued a Red Corner Notice for his arrest. Despite these developments, the Indian government had initially not expected Anmol's extradition, as he had sought asylum in the US, sources told NDTV.
