Series of attacks in Dhaka

The violence started early Monday with a state-owned bus being torched in Dhaka. A private car was also set ablaze near the Natun Bazar area. An explosion occurred at the Grameen Bank headquarters in Mirpur, where witnesses saw two people on a motorcycle throw a crude bomb before fleeing. Another attack targeted Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhter's business establishment using similar improvised bombs.

Violence spreads to other parts of city

The violence soon spread to other parts of Dhaka, with four crude bombs being thrown near Ibn Sina Hospital and Midas Centre. Explosions were also heard near Mouchak intersection, Bangladesh Betar in Agargaon, Khilgaon Flyover, and Shah Ali Market. The National Citizen Party office was attacked with a crude bomb, injuring one bystander. Five suspects have been detained from the site.
