Trio wins Economics Nobel Prize for explaining 'innovation-driven economic growth'

What's the story

The 2025 Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel has been awarded to Joel Mokyr, Philippe Aghion and Peter Howitt. The trio received the award from the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, "for having explained innovation-driven economic growth." To note, the laurel in Economic Sciences has been awarded 56 times since 1969.
