Here's all you need to know about CVT system
  • CVT is an automatic gear shifting system, conceptualized by none other than Leonardo Da Vinci. It replaces rotary gears (used on manual and AMT systems) with two pulleys whose one end is connected to the engine, while the other is linked to the wheels.

The size and width of the pulleys keep changing depending upon the speed, offering stepless and smooth gear shifting experience.

And, now a look at both the cars
  • Both Datsun GO and GO+ models house the same cascading grille surrounded by a chrome-finished frame, blacked-out claddings on the side skirts, and body-colored ORVMs as well as rear spoilers.

Both the cars come with blacked-out B-pillars, silver-colored roof rails, and 14-inch alloy wheels.

Further, they both get halogen headlamps with LED DRLs, turn indicators, and taillights.

  • Interiors

    Inside the cabin

  • Inside, the Datsun GO gets a 5-seater cabin, while the GO+ model comes with a 7-seater cabin.

Both the cars sport fabric upholstery with chrome accents around the dashboard, power steering wheel, and AC vents.

As for electronic features, both models house a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

  • Engine

    Power and performance

  • The CVT variants of the Datsun GO and GO+ are powered by the same 1.2-liter petrol engine. This engine is capable of producing 67bhp of maximum power and 104Nm of peak torque.

For transmission duties, both cars are offered with automatic gearbox, which sends power to front wheels via front-wheel drive (FWD) system.

  • Safety

    What about safety features?

    What about safety features?
  • The Datsun GO and GO+ models come equipped with disc brakes on the front and drum brakes on the rear wheels, along with ABS, EBD, and Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) for improved road handling.

They offer dual front airbags, and engine immobilizer for anti-theft provisions.

They also get driver-centric features like Brake Assist, speed sensing auto door locks, and reverse parking sensors.

  • Pricing

    Finally, what are the prices?

    Finally, what are the prices?
  • As for the pocket pinch, the Datsun GO CVT costs Rs. 5.94 lakh, while the GO+ CVT is priced at Rs. 6.58 lakh.
