Datsun is a Japanese automobile brand owned by Nissan and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. The brand’s origins can be traced back to 1914 when an automobile named the DAT car was produced. The name was changed to Datsun in 1933 and by 1936, six of the early Datsun production models were reportedly exported to New Zealand. The brand eventually phased out and was discontinued in 1986 only to be re-launched in 2013 in Delhi, India. The first Datsun Go car was launched in early 2014.
