Ducati Diavel 1260 launched, price starts at Rs. 17.70 lakh

Italian automaker Ducati has launched the all-new Diavel 1260 and Diavel 1260 S superbikes in India. The motorcycles have received a host of design and mechanical upgrades including a bigger engine, several rider-assist electronic features, and some minor design tweaks. To recall, the motorcycles were first unveiled at the 2018 EICMA show. Here's our roundup.
Both the Ducati Diavel 1260 and Diavel 1260 S come with a cruiser design featuring a semi faired sporty look with a bulky fuel tank, sharp edges, dual exhausts, and black alloy wheels. Talking about electronic features, the motorcycles get a 3.5-inch digital instrument panel, automatic indicators, keyless ignition, and an all-LED setup for lighting.
As for power options, both Diavel 1260 and Diavel 1260 S pack a 1,262cc DVT L-twin engine which is capable of producing 156bhp of power and 129Nm of peak torque. The motorcycles promise a top speed of 272kmph and house a six-speed manual gearbox to handle the transmission duties. Further, the bikes offer three riding modes: Sport, Touring, and Urban.
The Ducati Diavel 1260 and Diavel 1260 S come equipped with disc brakes on both the wheels along with dual-channel ABS and wheelie control for improved road handling. The standard Diavel 1260 gets 50mm USD forks up front and a monoshock unit on the rear, while the Diavel 1260 S gets Ohlins' 48mm upside-down forks on front and monoshock suspension on the rear.
As far as pricing is concerned, the standard Ducati Diavel 1260 costs Rs. 17.70 lakh, while the more premium Diavel 1260 S is priced at Rs. 19.25 lakh.
