Honda recalls vehicles due to brake pedal defect
Honda is recalling about 259,000 cars and SUVs in the US because of a brake pedal issue that could mess with braking and raise accident risks.
The recall covers certain Acura TLX (2021-2025), Acura MDX (2023-2025), and Honda Pilot (2023-2025) models.
Issue detected during production
The problem popped up during production at a US plant, which has since been shut down and moved to Mexico.
The new factory uses camera sensors to catch these kinds of mistakes early.
There have only been three warranty claims so far—no injuries or crashes reported.
Dealers will inspect the vehicles
Starting July 28, 2025, Honda will mail out notifications to affected owners.
If you get one, just head to your Honda dealer for a free inspection and fix if needed.
Only about 1% of recalled vehicles are expected to actually have this defect, but it's definitely worth checking out for peace of mind.
