Lamborghini Temerario Super Trofeo arrives as a stylish track-only supercar
What's the story
Lamborghini has unveiled its latest track-only machine, the Temerario Super Trofeo. The car is a pure internal combustion engine (ICE) model, designed for the Italian marque's one-make championship series. It will replace the Huracan Super Trofeo from the 2027 season onward. The new model follows in the footsteps of other non-electrified racing machines from Lamborghini, such as the recently revealed Temerario GT3.
Specifications
Temerario Super Trofeo has a twin-turbo V8 engine
The Temerario Super Trofeo is a rear-wheel-drive model, with power delivered through a six-speed sequential gearbox. This replaces the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission of the road-legal version. The car is powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine, which produces 641hp. This is an upgrade over the GT3's 577hp, thanks to balance-of-performance (BOP) norms that allow for more power in racing models.
Design
The car comes with an aggressive body kit
The Temerario Super Trofeo comes with an aggressive body kit, a massive rear wing for enhanced downforce, and track-ready aero elements. It sports a more aggressive front grille, hood scoops, fender vents, and a huge front splitter. The car also has wider side skirts and rear fenders that lead to a chunky diffuser dominating the rear fascia in its entirety.
Interiors
It gets an FIA-compliant roll cage
While interior details have not been disclosed, Lamborghini has confirmed that the race-car comes with an FIA-compliant roll cage that is fully integrated into the chassis. The dashboard is covered in Dinamica Infinity, a 100% PES mono-component non-woven suede. Other facilities include a 12-point adjustable traction control system, BMC air filters, KW suspension and a Capristo exhaust system.
Upcoming models
What about a road-legal version?
Despite being a track-only machine, Lamborghini is expected to launch new non-hybrid RWD versions for its flagship supercar. This could include a stripped-down base variant or a track-focused STO version, both available to the general public.
