Mahindra to launch 2 new SUVs next year
What's the story
Mahindra has been on a roll lately, adding several new models to its portfolio. The company recently launched the all-electric XEV 9e, BE 6, and XEV 9S, along with the Thar facelift and Thar Roxx. Now, it is gearing up to launch two more SUVs in 2026: the XUV700 (now called XUV 7XO) and Scorpio N facelift. Here's what you can expect from these upcoming vehicles.
Updated design
A mid-lifecycle refresh
The Mahindra XUV700, which has been on sale for four years, is getting a mid-lifecycle update. The updated model will be called the 'XUV 7XO.' Camouflaged test mules show a revised exterior design, mostly limited to soft parts. The front end looks sharper with a new grille and larger air intakes, while the headlamps have a twin-pod setup.
Interior upgrades
Enhanced features and unchanged powertrains
The interior of the XUV 7XO will feature a triple-screen layout, inspired by Mahindra's electric SUVs. Major updates are expected on the inside, but the powertrains are likely to remain unchanged. The SUV will continue to offer a choice between 6- or 7-seat configurations. It is expected to be priced between ₹14 lakh and ₹24 lakh (ex-showroom).
Minor tweaks
Scorpio N facelift: A subtle refresh
The Scorpio-N is also getting a subtle update for 2026. Spy shots show changes to the lighting, trim elements, and wheel designs. The interior will get a 10.25-inch infotainment system from Thar Roxx and some additional features for passenger comfort. The powertrains are expected to remain unchanged with an option of 4x4 on the diesel variant. It is likely to be priced between ₹14 lakh and ₹26 lakh (ex-showroom).
