Maserati updates its flagship coupe, convertible and SUV

Maserati has unveiled mid-cycle updates for its GranTurismo coupe, GranCabrio convertible, and Grecale SUV. The Italian luxury car manufacturer has made enhancements to the internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric powertrains of these models. The 2026 updates also include minor design changes and feature upgrades. For instance, the 3-liter V6 engine now delivers 590hp in both the GranTurismo and GranCabrio—an increase of 40hp over previous iterations.

Folgore variants of GranTurismo and GranCabrio now offer 540km range
The Folgore electric vehicle (EV) variants of the GranTurismo and GranCabrio now come with a claimed range of 540km—an increase of 90km over earlier models. The Grecale SUV has also seen an improvement in power delivery. It is available with two engine options: a V6 and a 2-liter four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, depending on the variant.
Future prospects
Maserati may reintroduce V8 engine, hybrid powertrains
Maserati has hinted at the possibility of bringing back its V8 engine, depending on market conditions. The brand is also considering hybrid powertrains and has emphasized the adaptability of its Nettuno V6 engine for future hybrid applications. All three models will continue to be offered with Maserati's Officine Fuoriserie personalization program, giving buyers a wide range of customization options from exterior colors to interior materials and trims.
Market strategy
Maserati is expanding its dealer network in India
Maserati is currently focusing on expanding its presence in India through an expanded dealer network. The brand has already announced that Navnit Motors will begin retail operations in Mumbai, joining the existing Delhi and Bengaluru dealerships. However, the company is awaiting more clarity on the India-EU free trade agreement (FTA), which could significantly reduce car import duties.
